Disney Fantasy - A Work of Art

Disney Cruise , Disney Fantasy , Disney Fantasy Art

Dumbo may not be the next Picasso but with a paint can held in his trunk and the help of his trusty pal, Timothy Mouse, his artistic talents come to life on the stern of the Fantasy. His handiwork outside the ship is an introduction to the amazing art work that can be found onboard. Come explore this floating museum!

When you step onboard the Fantasy be prepared to be wowed  by the beauty of the Atrium, a three-deck expanse graced with sophisticated Art Nouveau-inspired details and patterns in hues of vibrant blue, green, pink and gold.

From the ceiling hangs a cascading chandelier, more than 22 feet diameter at the ceiling and descending 13 feet, this one-of-a-kind work of art evokes green and blue peacock hues in stained glass and crystal beads.

Are those hidden Mickeys in the chandelier?

Tilt your head back and marvel at the centerpiece of the Atrium Lobby.

From the lobby floor, this glass creation looks like a flower in full bloom.

As with each Disney Cruise Line ship that launched before it, the Disney Fantasy has an atrium lobby statue celebrating a classic Disney character, Mademoiselle Minnie Mouse. Inspired by travel of the 1920s and 1930s, Minnie is cast in bronze and dressed in vintage fashion with a parasol and steamer luggage at her side – posed for keepsake pictures with guests.

Intricate curving steel creates a beautiful facade for the elevators in the lobby.

The Peacock Theme is continued behind the Bon Voyage bar near the Atrium.

A three dimensional scene from Peter Pan can be found in a sitting area adjacent to the Atrium.

A choice of a red or blue throne and magical mosaic near Guest Services are the perfect settings for a royal portrait.

Castles are the theme of a pair of paintings in sitting areas near the Atrium.

A famous silhoutte from Fantasia points upward in a painting found near the midship elevators on Deck 3.

There's more art to discover as you ascend the Atrium stairs to Deck 4.

Mickey and Minnie in 3-D delight as you climb the staircase.

3-D Daisy reads a book alongside the Staircase. Is she lounging near the Adult Pool?

Even the elevator bank is a work of art! Disney touches abound onboard.

A pair Art Noveau paintings on Deck Four evoke the spirit of Paris at the turn of the 19th century.

Blue Fairies, Fairy Godmothers, Pink, Blue and Green Fairies and everyone's favorite Fairy, Tinkerbelle, adorn the walls near the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique on Deck 5 midship near the Atrium.

There is so much art to be enjoyed on the Fantasy you might take some time out of your seven night cruise for a walking tour. More blogs with more art to be published soon!
