Meet Music-loving ‘Olu Mel at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa

Now you can meet ‘Olu Mel, A Disney Friend of Duffy, at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, playing endearing and uplifting music on his ‘ukulele. While he is known to be a bit shy, he is happiest enjoying nature and making others smile with his music, which is exactly what brought him to Aulani Resort.

Mel is short for “melody,” and ‘Olu Mel got this nickname from Duffy and ShellieMay after they heard his beautiful singing. He finds inspiration for his songs in the rhythm of nature, including the gentle trade winds of Hawai‘i, rolling sounds of waves and the patter of tropical rain on leaves. When he plays, he puts his whole heart into the song, knowing his friends will feel the love in every note.

You can meet ‘Olu Mel as well as other favorite Disney characters, including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck and Stitch on your next trip to Aulani Resort.
