Adventure Moments: Get a True Taste of Vermont with Adventures by Disney

When traveling on the New England adventure, guests will enjoy a stay at the Trapp Family Lodge- the very von Trapp family who inspired the classic musical “The Sound of Music” settled in New England in 1942.

During their time at the lodge, guests will explore a little bit of Austria in the hills of Vermont as they hike across the beautiful landscapes and learn more about the famous family’s history.

In addition to being a mountain resort, the Trapp Family Lodge is also a working farm surrounded by beautiful sugar maple trees, and the sap from those trees is used to make maple syrup right on site! Well, this Adventures by Disney vacation wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the lodge’s sugar house to see where the centuries-old tradition of making pure Vermont maple syrup takes place. Time for a behind-the-scenes look led by Director of Trip Development, Heather Killingbeck and Sam von Trapp, Director and Executive VP, Trapp Family Lodge.
