Walt Disney World ® Resort
It’s Party of Five at Walt Disney World!
When you travel with five or more people, finding a Walt Disney World resort that fits your party size and budget can be a challenge. Should you stay in one room or two? Which is best for you, a regular room, a suite or a villa? What are your options and how much do they cost? Small World Vacations agents have stayed at or toured every Disney resort on property and can help you to decide on the option that best fits your wish list and budget. Your party of five or more can choose from a wide array of accommodations at Walt Disney World.
Booking two rooms at a Disney Value resort (All-Star Movies, Music, Sports, Pop Century or Little Mermaid Standard Rooms at Disney’s Art of Animation) is a great option for larger families. At 520 sq ft of space, two rooms will sleep up to eight in four double beds and also give you two bathrooms. Connecting rooms provide adults with a place to relax after putting the kids to bed. Disney will only guarantee connecting rooms if there are more children than adults in your party. Others can still request connecting or adjoining rooms, and although Disney cannot guarantee it, they will do their best to accommodate.
A family of five’s most economical option is one room at Disney’s Port Orleans – Riverside or Disney’s Caribbean Beach. Both are Disney Moderate resorts with bedding in select room categories that includes two queen beds and a bunk size pull-down bed recommended for a child under age 10. The rooms are 314 sq ft and amenities include a TV, coffee maker, vanity with two sinks and small refrigerator.
The Disney Skyliner (gondola transportation) connects Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios to Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and Disney’s Riviera Resort. Inspired by the open air village marketplaces of the Caribbean, passengers are able to transfer to other gondola routes at the Caribbean Beach station hub. Having access to the Skyliner is a great benefit to guests staying at these resorts, as it gives them an additional method of complimentary Disney transportation. Definitely something to consider when selecting your Disney resort hotel.
SUITES
Suites are available at Value, Moderate and Deluxe hotels and can accommodate larger families in one room.

A party of six can stay in uniquely-themed family suites at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. The Finding Nemo, Cars or Lion King Suites are 565 sq ft and include two bathrooms, a separate bedroom with a queen size bed, a double size sleeper sofa in the living room and a double size Inova table bed near the kitchenette. Kids will love the larger-than-life Disney and Pixar icons and the gigantic feature pool/play area spanning over 11,000 sq ft.
Casitas – 1 Bedroom Suites at Disney’s Coronado Springs, a Moderate resort, can accommodate up to six guests. These suites offer either two queen beds or a king bed in the bedroom, and a queen sleeper sofa in a living room area with a small table and chairs.
How would you like to rough it, Disney-style? At 504 sq ft, a cozy cabin at Disney’s Fort Wilderness resort can hold up to six guests. Each unit is a separate dwelling with a private patio and parking for one car. The cabins are homey, with a living room area including a TV and Murphy-style pull-down bed, separate bedroom with a queen bed, bunk beds and additional TV, and one bathroom. If you like to prepare meals, there is a kitchen with full-size refrigerator, microwave, stove, oven, dishwasher utensils, cookware, plates, etc. These rustic cabins are a great option for guests looking to try something unique. Driving a golf cart around the grounds is a blast for kids of all ages.

These luxurious hotels are located either on the Monorail, within walking distance or a short boat or bus ride to the theme parks.
