Agent Blog: The Disney Treasure

by Small World Vacations Agent Olivia

Shining, shimmering, splendid… it’s a whole new world at sea on Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Treasure. Small World Vacations had the opportunity to preview the magical ship, building anticipation for the Maiden Voyage in December 2024.

From the first step into the three-story Grand Hall inspired by Asia, Africa and Agrabah, your adventure begins as the story of the Disney Treasure unfolds. Be sure to look up at the beautiful chandelier, which pays tribute to all 6 of Disney’s current cruise ships. At the end of the large staircase, a floating bronze statue of Jasmin and Aladdin on a magic carpet serves as the perfect photo spot. The stage inside the Grand Hall will feature performances throughout each sailing with characters created especially for the Disney Treasure.

Staterooms on the Disney Treasure are spacious with ample storage. Rooms include a flat screen TV, a beverage cooler, and many places to charge your devices. “Deluxe” rooms will have a roomy split bathroom, perfect for families that need a little extra space to get ready. The carpet in the hall represents some of the theming inside the rooms (with characters facing forward for easier direction).

With Disney’s unique rotational dining, you will get to visit each of the 3 main dining restaurants twice on your 7-night sailing and repeat one restaurant an additional time for Pirate Night. Your servers will follow you to each restaurant, allowing them to get to know your family and learn your dietary preferences.

“Marvel Celebration of Heroes: Groot Remix” is exclusively offered at Worlds of Marvel on the Disney Treasure. This interactive dining celebration honors the many Super Heroes of the Marvel Universe. Test your knowledge with on-screen trivia while listening to hit songs, as Groot prepares a special surprise party for his friend Rocket.

Plaza de Coco, the first theatrical dining experience inspired by Pixar’s Coco, includes live music and special appearances from Miguel and his familia. The theme of the restaurant makes it feel like you have stepped right into Santa Cecilia, with Mexican inspired fare unique to the Disney Treasure. Don’t forget to leave room for the Mexican Chocolate Tart!

Disney theme park fans are sure to be delighted by the themed lounges on the ship. The Skipper Society lounge pays homage to the Jungle Cruise attraction, with specialty-themed drinks, light snacks, and of course, dry jungle humor.

There is always room for one more in the long-awaited Haunted Mansion Parlor, inspired by the beloved attraction with a nautical twist. Drinks were specialty crafted for this lounge, including Haunted Mansion branded bottled sodas available in cocktails and to purchase separately. With special effects and 8 different scenes, you will want to come back again and again to experience it all. Check out the interactive menu for the hidden message!

A salute to The Aristocats, Scat Cat Lounge is a direct extension of the Grand Hall. Talented musicians take requests to play your favorite songs on the piano. The featured drink on the craft cocktail menu, The Cat’s Meow, includes clarified bourbon, removing the burn from the cocktail. The drink comes with a “bartenders secret” in a spray bottle to accent some of the flavors, and a souvenir embossed cat glass.

Catch a Broadway-style show at the Walt Disney Theatre, including “Disney The Tale of Moana”, debuting exclusively onboard the Disney Treasure. As the theater transforms into the island of Motunui, classic songs and puppetry will immerse you throughout the performance. “Beauty and the Beast” and “Disney Seas the Adventure” will also be featured during your sailing.

On the upper decks, you will find many pools and water play areas. Adventure seekers will love the AquaMouse, a Disney attraction at sea. You never know what might happen as you search for treasure on this water ride! Toy Story Splash Zone and Slide-a-saurus Rex family slide will entertain the smallest cruisers. Adults can relax away from the bustle of the family activities at Quiet Cove Pool. The pool deck will also host deck parties, including Mickey’s Color Spin Dance Party, and Disney exclusive fireworks-at-sea during Pirate night.

It seems everywhere you look there are more magical touches and attention to detail that Disney is known for. From kid’s clubs to a world-class spa and adults-only venues, the Disney Treasure promises to offer unforgettable experiences for guests of all ages.

The Disney Treasure currently offers 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean sailings available through early 2026.
