Welcome to the official ship’s log for the Disney Treasure! Follow along for an exclusive look into the complex ship building process as we document all the important milestones of the Disney Treasure’s journey. The Disney Treasure’s story began with the start of construction in January of 2023 and has continued to evolve ever since. Return here for the latest developments in the Disney Treasure’s progress as the world patiently waits for Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship to officially set sail in 2024. The adventure is just beginning!

Yesterday, the Disney Treasure embarked on its transatlantic journey from Eemshaven, Netherlands to its future home in Port Canaveral, Florida. With over 4,500 miles between the Disney Treasure and its destination, the trip will take two weeks to complete. The ship’s first ever port of call will be the beautiful city of Funchal, Portugal, where it will make a brief stop before heading back out to sea. During the crossing, final preparations will be made to ready the ship for its maiden voyage on December 21.

It’s official! Today marked the final construction milestone for the Disney Treasure: the delivery ceremony in Eemshaven, Netherlands. Welcoming the Disney Treasure to the Disney Cruise Line family and celebrating this milestone were the dedicated team members, shipyard workers and the Meyer Werft team.

Guests may be wondering, what is a delivery ceremony? Well, this time-honored maritime tradition marks the transfer of ownership between the shipyard partner, Meyer Werft, and Disney Cruise Line.

And now, the countdown is on! The Disney Treasure is one step closer to welcoming families onboard for their own adventures at sea, beginning on December 21, 2024.

Small World Vacations offers $50-$1000 onboard credit based on your cruise fare.
