Currently, a 1-day ticket to a Disney water park costs $74 for guests age 10 and up and $68 for children age 3 – 9. So, for a family of two adults and two children, this benefit is worth $284. Prices do not include tax.

Disney’s two water parks, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon, offer waves of family fun in classic Disney style – with magic and storytelling around every watery corner. Get wet with some fun in the Florida sun!

Drop into a snow-capped mountain setting at Disney’s Blizzard Beach. Legend has it that Blizzard Beach was meant to be a snowy ski resort that didnt exactly go as planned in the warm Florida climate. All that snow melted into what is now a thrilling 66-acre watery winter wonderland.

Take the Blizzard Beach Chairlift to the top of Mt. Gushmore, where the most intense rides can be found. At the top, the choice is yours. Plunge down the nearly vertical 120-foot water slide, Summit Plummet. This attraction is the highlight of the water park and is one of the tallest and fastest free-fall body slides in the world. Or speed down the 90-foot tall Slush Gusher and feel the rush of adrenaline as you soar over two rolling hills.

Not a daredevil? Not to worry. There’s an attraction for every thrill level and plenty of family fun to be found. Grab an inner tube and float your cares away in the lazy river Cross Country Creek. Or head over to Melt-Away Bay wave pool for some gentle, bobbing waves and enjoy some beach vibes with the whole family.

Blizzard Beach has two areas designed for the little ones: Tikes Peak and Ski Patrol Training Camp. Tikes Peak is geared toward younger kids with scaled down versions of slides and tube rides, outfitted with Frozen” inspired features including Anna and Elsas igloo castle and Olaf and his Snowgie pals. Ski Patrol Training Camp is perfect for tweens with a floating iceberg obstacle course, zip line and fun moderate water slides.

“Polar Patios” are shaded private seating areas available to rent on a first-come, first-served basis. Reserved areas include cushioned seats, umbrellas, coolers, lockers, and towels. Inquire at the Beach Haus for same-day availability, or call ahead to reserve.

There are a variety of food options available at Blizzard Beach. You’ll find the classic Disney snacks, including popcorn and pretzels. But keep an eye out for a few fun water park treats — scrumptious mini donuts, complete with choice of dipping sauce, pineapple Dole Whip, and the “Sand Pail” ice cream sundae! Counter service restaurants serve up gourmet hot dogs, burgers, chicken strips and flatbreads, along with sodas and speciality beverages and cocktails.

The story over at Disneys Typhoon Lagoon is that a terrible storm ravaged Mount Mayday, leaving a wake of shipwrecked destruction (a shrimp boat, surfboards, and fishing gear) in its wake —  and accidentally created a tropical paradise water park!

Typhoon Lagoons Surf Pool isn’t your ordinary wave pool – it’s the largest outdoor wave pool in North America! Moderate waves alternate with stronger waves, creating a thrilling experience. Did you know you can take private surf lessons at Typhoon Lagoon? “Open Surf” lessons are available for beginners and “Private Surf” events are held for experienced riders before the park opens or after it closes. Call (407) 560 – SURF to book!

If you prefer to kick back and relax, meander over to Castaway Creek where you can float on a tube through the cool mists and grottoes, rain forests and waterfalls. Let your worries drift away while you take in the sights and sounds of the waterpark fun.

Thrill seekers will want to head to Crush ‘n’ Gusher, a water coaster with 3 twisting “fruit chutes” options. Grab a pal or fly solo on this gushing coaster-like raft ride that is one of the park’s signature attractions. Ascend to the tippy top of the mountain for the park’s highest and longest waterslide — Mayday Falls. Hang on for a fast, turbulent trip on a single-rider inner tube starting at Miss Tilly, the shipwrecked shrimp boat atop Mount Mayday.

The family that rafts together, stays together! Kids of all ages can enjoy an immersive whitewater rafting adventure at Miss Adventure Falls and explore waterfalls at Gangplank Falls. Younger kids can splish and splash at Ketchakiddee Creek, an interactive water playground with fountains, mini water slides and waterfalls.

“Beachcomber Shacks” are the shaded, private seating areas of this water park. Also available on a first-come, first-served basis, these spots include cushioned seats, umbrellas, coolers, lockers, and towels. Inquire at Singapore Sal’s for same-day availability, or call ahead to reserve.

All that swimming is sure to work up your appetite! Similar to Blizzard Beach menus, you’ll find standard fare like burgers, sandwiches and pizza, along with island-inspired bowls, fish tacos and salads. Not to fret: the same mouthwatering Mini donuts, pineapple Dole Whip and Sand Pail ice cream sundae can also be found at Typhoon Lagoon. The perfect way to cool down after a day of fun in the sun!
