Small World Vacations travel advisors share their suggestions for great ways to spend onboard credit on a Disney Cruise below:

From Agent Olivia: Treat yourself to a meal at an adult-only restaurant, such as Palo. The cost of a meal at Palo is $55 per adult (not including alcoholic beverages or gratuities), so your onboard credit might cover a special meal for 2!

From Agent Karen: My favorite way to spend onboard credit on a Disney Cruise is by purchasing a Wine Package. It is very nice to add a glass or two of wine to the wonderful dinner each night (or even at lunch on your Sea Day).

From Agent Deanna: Purchase a photo package. There are so many opportunities for professional photographers to capture beautiful photos of your family on the ship and Disney’s private islands. In addition to the standard photo locations available, you can also reserve a private sitting in the Shutters Portrait Studio. For $149, you can purchase the PhotoBook Keepsake, a hardcover album of your Disney Cruise memories.

From Agent Annette: When I cruise I’m often with extended family and friends and love to gift them items that will remind them of our cruise. My favorite is a Christmas ornament that has the year of our cruise and ship we sailed on. These ornaments and other keepsake gifts can be found in the shops onboard. Having extra onboard credit goes a long way when purchasing for multiple family members and friends!

From Agent Tanya: Kids receive a bracelet for checking into and out of the Oceaneers Club. If they don’t want to return the band at the end of the cruise, you can opt to purchase the band and keep it as a fun souvenir.

From Agent Deanna: The Rainforest Room is an adults-only area in the Senses Spa. Use your onboard credit to purchase a pass for a single day or a for the length of your cruise. There are various steam rooms / saunas, heated lounge chairs, hot and cold thermal showers and hot tubs, luxurious robes and water coolers are available for guests. The relaxing music and dim lights are the perfect way to let your stress melt away. The Rainforest Room is particularly quiet during the earlier dinner seating.

From Agent Kathy: The Bamboo Massage at Senses Spa is my personal favorite and not something I’ve seen often in other spas. It’s amazing!

From Agent Jill: The Fire and Ice pedicure is an amazing way to treat yourself after a day in port or for the end of the sailing. The experience of hot and cold make all the aches and pains go away and your toes look pretty at the end.

From Agent Olivia: Little ones love to get a special makeover at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, where they can choose a style based on many Princesses, a Royal Knight, and even Captain Mickey or Minnie. Special outfits are available on Pirate Night on select sailings. Pricing will vary based on the package you choose, but many packages are $200 or less.

From Agent Angela: You can visit the Cove Cafe, Disney’s adult coffee shop, to enjoy a variety of specialty beverages. I love going to the Cove for a nice relaxing tea or coffee. They also have a full bar there.

From Agent Olivia: Many Bahamian and Caribbean sailings will stop at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay. There are some great Port Adventures, including the Banana Boat Ride, The Extreme Getaway Package (includes snorkel equipment rental, one-hour bicycle rental, float or tube rental), and Castaway Ray’s Stingray Adventure. Onboard Credit can be used toward the purchase of Port Adventures booked through Disney Cruise Line.

From Agent Tanya: Onboard credit can cover some, or possibly all, of the gratuities for your stateroom host and dining staff. If you don’t pre-pay gratuities prior to your cruise, Disney’s suggested amount of $16 per person, per night of your sailing will be deducted from your onboard account.

From Agent Jill: Bingo! In addition to the chance of winning some money, the DCL Bingo team make the game a lot of fun. If you’re only able to attend one session of Bingo, make it the last one of the sailing because it has the highest jackpots. On longer sailings we have seen jackpots over $10,000!
